Back On The Road Again

Hello,

It's that time of year again, when we as well as other Blues, Rock, R & B and some Jazz Bands hit the road for the summer festivals, & theater gigs, it's been a very very long time since I have taken time to try to write anything in this blog, here we go.

Once again this summer for those of you who are fans of the last 2 & best original blues guys around B.B.King & Buddy Guy will have 5 shows together, starting in Nashville, at somewhere around 85 or 86 B.B.King is still touring strong, & at 75 so is Buddy, if you don't have tickets get 'em, because they do sell out, also this summer on a few shows I don't know how many, Buddy is introducing audiences to Quinn Sullivan, a new young guitar player, & when I say player I mean player, he can really play & is well worth catching with Buddy, last but not least, for the first time in close to 10 years we play Blues On The Fox Festival in Aurora,IL & if you don't catch us there you get a second chance at Milwaukee Summer Fest, so there you have it, this first run keeps of out till almost the end of June, if you want to get a blues fix come on out & check us out . We Aim To Please .

Experience Hendrix

I'm not very good at this blog thing as you can plainly see, it's been almost two years sense my last entry, but I thought I would give it a try one more time.

We just finished up the Hendrix Experience Tour 2008 on Nov 7th, & I must be honest I'm a bass player, so Jimi Hendrix has never been on my must listen to list, this is the second year we have done the tour & it was even better this year than last year, I can truly understand why he is still considered one of the greatest guitar players of all time, he was ahead of his time with some of the things he did with time & sound.
If you missed the tour this year, you missed some of the best young guns in the business, giving their portrayal of jimi Hendrix , each one giving you a different view of Jimi using his own special talent, to hear Eric Gale, Eric Johnson, Moto, Brad Whitford of Aerosmith, Johnny Lang, Kenny Wayne Sheppard,Hubert Sumlin & Buddy Guy the man that jimi listened to,to name just a few, it was great, you got close to three hours of Jimi Hendrix, you had Billy Cox who is still as solid as ever on bass,& Mitch Michell sitting in on a few songs, so I'm glad I was able to be a small part of the Hendrix Tour this year, it was a little smoother & better organized & the fans all seem like they had a great time everywhere we went, on a bit of a sad note, Mitch Michell has passed, he seem to have had such a great time on this tour, I was sorry to hear the news just a few days after the tour, I have no idea what the line up will be, but I suggest you check out the Hendrix Tour in 2009, hope you enjoyed the blog.

On a heads up notice, we will tour in 2009 with B.B.King in February so start checking now for tickets.

Spreadin The Blues

Well I can see this blog thing is a little slow to catch on, especially sense it's not about being a music critic, but a music lover, but here we go anyway.
We've really been rollin, we've been to India, Australia,Mexico & Puerto Rico, in a few weeks we leave to tour Europe for about 5 weeks, all the dates are on my web page, check it out.
India was great, I was truly surprised to see the turn out that we had, & the love for the blues in a place so far away from the US, Australia on the other hand has some of the most beautiful skies at night you ever will see & some parts remind you of some place in the US, & Byron Bay is a great place to Vacation in, with the beach & small shops, Mexico went well also, flying in from the air it looks a little like parts of Brazil, Puerto Rico was great, we heard some really great music, the rhythms make you want to move . We've done a few gigs with Robert Cray this year & if you have'nt seen him before, you should try to catch him this year we've worked with him in the past, & this year he seems to be on fire, He's on tour now with Eric Clapton, we have some dates with him in August. Well this is it for now, a writer I'm not, but I'll keep adding things when time allows .

Hello, if this is your first visit to this Blog,this Blog thing is new to me, most people have a guest page on there website, I thought a Blog might work a little better, this is a Blog where we can talk about music & entertainment, I don't want to bash anyone or any type of music because I can appreciate all types of music even if I don't like it, it is my hope that we can even pass a little info to one another sometime, which may be helpful, but anyhow this is my first entry so lets get this party started.
I don't have an abundance of time but I will try to add a new entry or answer any questions as often as I can. Thanks
